Awakening Through Creativity: Art and Dharma

Zangmo Alexander

Options For Different Books

  1. Artist's monograph with illustrated discussions of 10 art and meditation projects in my own practice (see https://www.zangmoalexander.com/art-projects-by-zangmo-alexander). An in-depth book, 80,000 words, examining the results of my own personal long-term art-dharma practice. Emphasis on my own work and process as a meditator and creative. Good way for my art-meditation practice to get known, a marketing tool?

  2. As above (1), AND also including Dharma/Art theory (personal experience -https://alexanderzangmo.wixsite.com/awakening-creativity/dharma-art-life) with practical exercises/projects others can do. Comprehensive, but maybe too expensive to print? Confusing?

  3. A series of short, bite-sized, illustrated meditation and creativity books offering ways of working with self awareness and well-being, with a thematic bias. An example is the collaborative project Mindweathersong, (https://alexanderzangmo.wixsite.com/awakening-creativity/mindweathersong)which offers a process using Dharma and art to navigate any difficult situation such as covid lockdown or ageing bodies undergoing surgery and convalescence. This is a very powerful practice process requiring commitment of each participant over at least a month. Less focus as an artist's monograph, more focus on themes and how-to do it yourself. How to make it interesting for me to write? I don't want to write a dippy-hippy new age book......
